Encapsulation
"The meaning of life has been contorted into a false encapsulation of the true human experience. A state of peace sought after will be a search indefinitely as long as the onlooker turns to its very shadow for cause. Equilibrium must be met by the notion of service and experience. To live is to give, to give is to fulfill. Only then can you live with true fulfillment."-Ashmita Arora
The meaning of life has been manufactured into a narrow story that doesn’t even begin to reflect the true depth of the human experience. We’re given a blueprint, told how life is supposed to be accurately lived, what's right, what’s wrong, what roles we should play, even worse taxed possibilities. Yet, as the world tells us to look, to seek, to find that definitive perfect state of being the relentless striving, is the very reason why so many have come to find fulfillment remains unattainable. We spend our lives trying to fit into these roles, molded by our upbringings, culture, and our circumstances, constantly looking outward for approval. We search and search for meaning, but the act of seeking becomes infinite, it's nothing more than an illusion that keeps us disconnected from the very truth we’re chasing.
The contorted meanings lie in our misunderstanding of what it truly means to exist in all life's beauty. Society, culture, and even our own minds have reduced living of life to a series of accomplishments, validations, and external markers. The human experience has been compressed and falsified, telling us that a happy fulfilled life are destinations to be reached, rather than states of being. To say…if we just achieve enough, be enough, or become enough, we will finally arrive as someone in this world, is such distortion and sends the masses into a state of illusion, constantly wanting, forever feeling incomplete.
It’s imperative that we realize that our purpose is not to fit into a mold but to express our light. We are here to experience this wonderful world, but experience alone without the act of giving becomes hollow. Without service, experience becomes self-serving, a loop of personal gratification that ultimately leads to dissatisfaction. The more we focus on what we can get from life, the more disconnected we become from life’s true meaning. Experience is what allows us to grow, to expand, but it is the act of giving and contributing to the greater whole that transforms our experience into something deeply meaningful.
We are not here to prove our worth, we are here to embody it. True equilibrium is found in the recognition that we are already whole. It arises when we shift our focus from striving to giving, from proving to being. Fulfillment doesn’t come from meeting societal standards. It comes from within, from understanding that we are complete and whole as we are. When we know this truth, we naturally radiate a light that draws us into service. We give not because we lack but because our inner abundance overflows. In this flow, our actions are no longer driven by a need to conform or to be seen in a certain way. Instead, they are purposeful, coming from a place of alignment with who we truly are. We find joy in the act of giving itself. Our light shines bright on everyone around us. True fulfillment, then is found in recognizing the light within and letting it guide us into a life of authentic service and creation.
