False affirmations

"False affirmations are false thoughts caused by misunderstanding the truth of the feeling behind the thought. To affirm I am abundant does not simply mean you have enormous amounts of money or live a life free of challenges. The human experience is riddled with beautiful challenges all set forth by the Creator to allow for the growth of humanity. Each challenge ahead of a lesson, each lesson behind a purpose waiting to be discovered. When we can turn our aches into wonder we can hear a call for inspired action. When we take inspired action we are led onto the path in which we can affirm I am abundant with our eternal truth."- Ashmita Arora

Affirmations go beyond the spoken word; they are the silent expressions of how we live and perceive our lives. When we affirm something, we aren't just declaring a statement; we're shaping the very nature of our reality. Everything we do, think, and feel becomes an affirmation. It's not just the words we say aloud but the nonverbal messages we send through our daily actions and choices. Every decision we make, every path we choose to follow, sends out an energetic signal affirming what we believe to be true about ourselves and our place in the world.

Take, for instance, the choices we make about what we nourish our bodies with. The act of choosing foods that sustain and energize us is an affirmation of self care and self respect. It is a statement that we value our well-being enough to honor our bodies. On the other hand, when we habitually choose what diminishes us, we are, whether we realize it or not, affirming a different story about our worth. This is why affirmations are more than words; they are reflected in the ways we interact with the world and ourselves. Every action is an affirmation, consciously or unconsciously reinforcing a deeper narrative we hold.

Our thoughts act as affirmations, shaping both our internal state and the reality we encounter. Each thought presents a choice, an opportunity to affirm either limitation or potential. When we find ourselves caught in negative patterns, we reinforce a reality of scarcity and fear. However, when we consciously direct our minds toward love, gratitude, and possibility, we begin to affirm a reality filled with growth and abundance. This isn’t about ignoring life’s challenges but recognizing the power in choosing our internal dialogue, which influences our entire experience.

Turning our aches into wonder calls us to remember that every experience, even the painful ones, carries value. Instead of viewing challenges as setbacks, we can learn to see them as opportunities for growth and deeper understanding. By embracing our struggles with curiosity rather than resistance, we affirm that life is happening for us, not to us. This shift opens us up to inspired action, transforming resistance into acceptance. In this way, our aches guide us toward actions that align with our higher purpose, affirming our power as alchemists to transform any situation into a catalyst for growth.

Affirmations are also present in the routines and habits we practice. Every morning when I commit to meditation or mindfulness, I am affirming the importance of inner peace and presence. Every act of kindness toward others or ourselves becomes a living affirmation of our values. These practices are not separate from what we say; they give life to the words we might use in our affirmations. They show that our affirmations are not just spoken; they are intentionally acted upon, creating a life that mirrors the truths we seek to embody.

The language we use in our interactions cannot go unweighted of course. How we speak to others and ourselves has the power to affirm either growth or stagnation. When we speak with compassion and encouragement, we affirm a reality where respect and understanding are paramount. When we engage in self-criticism or judgment, we affirm a belief in lack or limitation. Words are carriers of our inner state; they bring forth the energy that underlies them and contribute to shaping the reality we experience.

Affirmations become powerful when they move beyond just words and are present in the way you live, think, and interact with the world around you. This intentional integration is where true transformation happens, as affirmations then serve as a lived experience rather than just a hollow spoken intention.
